Aeon Flux "utopia or deuteranopia?" Episode Analysis part 5

As we come back from the hard break at the previous scene we see Aeon admiring the dress that stands in the room Trevor Goodchild made for them. We see Trevor peaking through the curtains and seeing Aeon, He pulls back from the curtains and we hear the heartbeat of Clavius in the audio as the whole screen becomes tinted red and Trevor begins unbuttoning his shirt to hide his gun before entering into a wideshot of the room where he asks "well how do you like it?"

We see a shot of Aeon holding the dress and placing it right in front of Trevor, emasculating him in the viewers eyes because from where he is positioned it looks like he might as well be wearing the dress. She teases  him about the dress being for him and throws the key at him where he fumbles to grab it, he looks up at her with a look of petty or desperation. We can tell the power in this relationship is more in Aeon than in Trevor.

Aeon mocks him relentlessly and we can see from his body language that he takes offense to her transgressions. We see Trevor begin to change his mind about Aeon and gives her a look of utter contempt when she steps on the floors on the ground, the ones he probably got for her. We end the scene with Trevor giving her his gun and trying to take the power back by telling her she cant kill him but she counters with what she has in mind is way worse than killing him. She kisses him and turns on her jumper suit which knocks him back and the scene ends with only him laying on the bed getting up to chase after her.

The next scene starts with a closeup of wires in clavius's back and we pan up to reveal gildamere is standing in front of him, he turns off his jumper suit and provides some sort of smelling salt to wake up clavius. When he comes to he begins moving around and we see gildamere eyeing the cables that the scene opened up with as he notices that they are plugged into the wall he gives a very conspiring glance at the cables and we cut to Trevor Goodchild.

Trevor, possibly paranoid from his last attack has another journalist in his office this time though she is completely nude. Its a short scene but we see Trevor repeating the same line as before claiming there is no evidence of where clavius is. The way the scene ends we get the sense that the journalist is obviously a plant.

We cut back to Clavius as we learn new information, in the previous scene we learned he has been in this condition for 190 days and this scene opens with him naming his network of allies and put them all in prison, he asks aloud who did this? Gildamere claims all these people are prisoners and Clavius says they are his special friends. Clavius begins to lose his mind and strikes out at Gildamere and Gildamere pulls the plug on Clavius killing him.

This scene made me think that Gildamere has second thoughts on Clavius when he uncovers that clavius is also involved in some sort of conspiracy that is hinted at in their short conversation here in this scene. Gildamere hesitates for a moment and pulls the plug and we see the curtains of the inside of clavius shut giving us another example of how they use nonobvious ways to communicate a character has died.
