Perspective analysis

I this piece what we see is a curvilinear perspective used to give us a fish eye lens point of view. I decided to first break this down as shown below where I found the lines of the curvilinear perspective perspective fell throughout the illustration. Curvlinear perspective could also be called four point perspective since we an see imagine vanishing points extending off the page in every direction and as the lines come into the image they curve before going to the next vanishing point.

What I noticed at this level that some of the objects pretty much fall right on the line that is used, for example the sign with the japanese characters on them above the characters fall right onto a curving line that cuts above the main horizon line. We see a similar pattern on the ground level where we see the floor touching and we can see the door edges touching the floor and the many boxes that other objects sit on are easily donje in perspective by just following the vanishing point lines.

I wanted to understand this slightly more though so I decided to do some trace overs of some of the forms in the image to better understand how the forms are organized. I noticed there are a lot of ellipses and circular objects found throughout the room. Once we start to break these complex forms into simpler forms we start to see how he organizes them in a 3d space giving them the impression of coming towards us.

Value
If you break down the values you will see that  the darkest values fall into the japanese characters written at the top, the frame that goes around the image and the two characters. Almost everything else falls into lighter greys throughout the image.
