Today I wanted to revisit the piece I briefly talked about yesterday by doing a compositional copy and breakdown of the image to delve a little deeper into what can be taken from this image. Below Ive copied the big shapes and forms and broken them into 3 major values plus an extra one for the highlight of the figure in the foreground which feels like another value to me.

I noticed some things from doing this that I didn't notice yesterday. For one we can see from the breakdown here is that there are a lot of vertical lines that point us down towards the main character in front. This includes the spear like object on the left. This was something else I noticed is that this spear object connects with  the line of the head of the figure and the turning of the cloth of her headdress. In other words these shapes converge and grow out of one another almost as one shape. We can see something similar on the other side with the females silhouette and the arm of the woman in front following the same trajectory.
