Dave Rapoza Analysis

 Composition

Looking at pieces like this are a masterclass in composition. Each pose is unique yet fits within the image to make it feel balanced. To start with we have a very general diamond shape that is breaking out of the rectangular ornamental shape that the characters are coming out of. This comes out all the way to a point at the bottom with the moggle's foot. We can then see the characters are arranged with 2 at the top, then the next row has 3 and then two rows of 4 and the final is a the single moggle.

Each character is posing pointing outwards from each side while the moggle and Terra both have similar stances with their arms swung wide in a dynamic pose of twisted hips and shoulders like I talked about in the previous analysis. In the center we see the outer parts of the diamond reaching outwards with their individual capes are swaying out breaking the silhouette of the backdrop. Its a great image in the future I may have to do a more thorough breakdown but these are the things that stick out to me the most at first glance.
